Twl20 is looking for a driven and versatile Copy Editor who is comfortable working in the digital realm. The ideal applicant for this position possesses exceptional English communication skills, have experience with direct response copywriting and editing, and a strong drive to learn and grow in a digital agency setting. 

 

The ideal candidate must be familiar with multiple editing systems, handle busy periods with poise, adhere to strict deadlines, and collaborate with Writers, other Editors, and relevant Stakeholders.

They will work directly with a team of Copywriters to ensure projects are completed on schedule and final products meet the organization’s and Client’s quality standards. They will use a meticulous approach and their keen eye for detail in executing projects in adherence to the individual Client’s styles and project goals, when required.

What you’ll do / Responsibilities:

  • Ensure client happiness and assist them to achieve their business goals by delivering top-notch quality content.
  • Review, proofread, fact-check, and revise content output and ensure they are well-written, grammatically correct, attention-getting, logically structured, meet established style guidelines, and follow the intended tone and brand voice.
  • Evaluate 
  • Collaborate with Writers during various stages of the writing process to ensure the delivery of a final product that engages readers and converts with informative, entertaining, and educational copy.
  • Provide constructive feedback to Writers when necessary regarding language style, tone, or syntax to ensure the content is understood by the intended audience, meets the project brief and follows direct response copy best practices.
  • Help the company develop style guides to govern how content is created.
  • Arrange page layouts to include written content as well as elements like photos and ads.
  • Train new Writers and Editors about the company’s content creation process.
  • Meet with Clients to define content needs and create a content calendar, when needed.
  • Learn everything there is to know about each Client’s business, including major issues, competitive circumstances, and industry trends.

 

Who you are / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the communication-related or marketing-related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2–3 years of experience copy editing or writing in any field, but preferably marketing
  • Proficiency using standard editing tools, particularly in Google Docs
  • Knowledge of Google Apps, ClickUp, and Slack
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Know how to produce good direct response copywriting that converts – website copy, landing pages, funnel pages, email sequences, social media ads, headlines, and others.
