Will be responsible for creating and/or editing content strategy deliverables. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent web content experience.


Strong written and interpersonal communication skills are required with ability to self-direct when confronted with support issues. Ability to manage details, delegate tasks, be flexible, and have efficient work habits under a deadline, and communicate project status.


You must be able to be productive in a fast paced work environment. Time sensitive projects must be completed within deadlines. Must be able to work on team based projects. 


Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with staff to brainstorm content topics
  • Delegate assignments to copywriters to create original content for our various clients
  • Create and follow development schedules for all assigned content, and track projects from conception through publication/release
  • Check all content pieces for accuracy and cohesiveness of brand, style, tone, and voice
  • Ensure all content meets quality standards
  • Edit and proofread content for spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Develop client-specific style guides to ensure consistency of brand, style, tone, and voice
  • Manage the content calendar
  • Identify ways to optimize and repurpose/repackage existing content 
  • Support copywriters and Senior Editor
  • Coordinate with the Twlv20 team to help implement sales plans for our products (and for products for which we are affiliates) and to bring sales messaging to the appropriate segments of our email list and communities 
  • Participate in weekly team meetings 
  • Create compelling content to drive leads, subscribers, awareness, and/or other important metrics (examples include e-books, whitepapers, infographics, guides, etc.).
  • Help develop content strategies that attract prospective customers, educate them, and encourage conversion.
  • Collaborate to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience.
  • Self-sufficient at managing projects with many touchpoints
  • Review and edit blogs and content we publish.
  • Convince others that your creative ideas are worth investing time and effort in. 
  • Provide content and strategic recommendations for projects
  • Assist with establish style guide and editorial procedures
  • Create interesting, technical, and educational content that aligns with our branding and audience (product owners and developers) in the format of blog posts, articles, and email campaigns
  • Apply SEO best practices and working technical knowledge of our products to content marketing
  • Research various verticals and content topics to create key assets necessary to expand visibility and reach of content
  • Work across multiple teams to transfer knowledge and execute full circle marketing campaigns and assets to help drive different kinds of website/blog traffic
  • Suggest content topics based on research and performance 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience implementing successful content marketing strategies 
  • 1+ year editing experience in fast-paced digital environment
  • Understanding of content marketing tactics, such as SEO, digital advertising, and social media marketing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and editing skills
  • Detail oriented and analytical
  • Proactive and forward-thinking
  • Past experience producing digital and web content, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, SlideShare, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to bring structured thinking to a variety of tools and templates
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles 
  • Desire to learn from your peers and apply your skills in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment
  • Passion for great storytelling and systems thinking
  • Ability to manage multiple content projects
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and how to rank content on a search engine results page
  • The ability to research and absorb concepts specific to audiences in different target industries 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and multitask in a fast-moving work environment
  • Fundamental understanding of collaborating within a cross-functional team
  • Perform customer and stakeholder reviews to identify and understand user needs 
  • Develop structured content models to bring the right content to target audiences at the right touchpoints.
  • Design and execute on a strategy for providing a cohesive experience for clients
  • Design and implement content creation and governance workflows and documentation
  • Create and maintain editorial calendars, content style guides, best practices, content templates
  • Give, seek, and receive thoughtful critical feedback. You’ll help others become better writers and become a better writer yourself.
