Backend Developer

We’re seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our dynamic team and help us integrate the power of OpenAI API and third-party Service Provider APIs into our innovative web applications. Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer, with a strong focus on API integration.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Ruby, Liquid Template Language etc.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design principles and best practices.
• Experience with integrating third-party APIs, preferably OpenAI API, and various Service Provider APIs.
• Solid understanding of database systems, data modeling, and query optimization.
• Knowledge of security protocols and practices in API development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
• Good to have: 
  1. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, or Google Cloud.
  2. Familiarity with Shopify

 

Responsibilities:

As a Backend Developer specializing in API integration, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our web applications by seamlessly integrating OpenAI API and Service Provider APIs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to define API integration requirements and project goals.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure backend systems for web applications.
• Implementing and optimizing API endpoints to facilitate communication between our applications and external APIs.
• Integrating OpenAI API to enable AI-driven functionalities, such as natural language processing and generation, within our applications.
• Integrating third-party Service Provider APIs to leverage additional features and data sources, enhancing user experiences.
• Ensuring API security and data privacy by implementing authentication, authorization, and encryption measures.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting API integrations to identify and address issues in real-time.
• Collaborating with the QA team to conduct thorough testing of integrated APIs to ensure reliability and performance.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in backend development, APIs, and AI technologies.
